Meet Our Pilots

Ron Bilskie, Chief Pilot
Ron joined St. Simons Executive LLC in 2007 as Chief Pilot with more than 27,000 hours of flight time as Pilot In Command. Originally from Indiana, his aviation career began in 1966 as a Flight Instructor at the Executive School of Aviation in Atlanta while on active duty with the Army National Guard. After an honorable discharge with the National Guard in 1971, his commercial aviation career began with Piedmont Air Lines of Atlanta and extended over 30 years. Ron has flown a variety of jet and turbo-prop aircrafts throughout the years including Airbus, Boeing, King Air, Beechcraft and Cessna. He is type rated on the Airbus 320, 321 and 330 and qualified on the Boeing 737, 757 and 767.

Michael Pharis, Pilot
Native of Brunswick, Mike began his flying career in 1970 at the Brunswick Airpark. Upon obtaining his Commercial Pilot Certificate in 1972 he flew for Perry Flying Service and Brunswick Aviation until 1976, at which time he enlisted in the United States Army. After serving his country for 20 years as an Aviation Maintenance Supervisor and Flight Ops. Coordinator, Mike retired honorably in 1996 and returned to Brunswick. He obtained a Commercial Drivers License and drove over-the-road for C.R. England and Heartland Express until late 1998, at which time he turned to flying as an independent contract pilot based at McKinnon Airport on St. Simons Island. Prior to joining St. Simons Executive LLC, Mike was Chief Pilot for Viztec Imaging Inc. flying the JetProp 980 Commander. Along with the Turbo Commander, Mike is experienced in the Beechcraft King Air 90, 100 and B100 as well as the Piper Cheyenne. He also has vast experience in the Beechcraft Baron and the Cessna 421 Golden Eagle. Mike has accumulated over 8000 total hours of flight time of which over 7870 hours have been logged as Pilot in Command. He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Brunswick and enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.
