Jerry "Widget" Morris – Pilot
Jerry Morris has amassed more than 26,500 flying hours. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot license and has type ratings in Boeing 737, 757, 767, Douglas DC9, Lockheed L-382, Lr-Jet, HS-125 and BE300 aircraft. In his 25-year career with Delta Air Lines, he flew domestically and internationally on the Boeing 727, 737, 757 and 767 aircraft as well as the McDonald Douglas MD-88 and Lockheed 1011. He retired from Delta as a Line Check Airman in 2004. Jerry started flying in 1968. He earned his private and commercial pilot licenses before entering Undergraduate Pilot Training in The United States Air Force at Williams AFB in 1974. He was a distinguished graduate and returned to the 924th Tactical Airlift Group at Kelly AFB in San Antonio, Texas. There he served as a C-130 Aircraft Commander and Instructor Pilot. While in the USAF Reserves, he was also employed as a corporate pilot in Austin, TX. He flew a variety of business jets and turboprops. After retiring from Delta Air Lines, Morris joined Team RV/Team AeroDynamix, the largest formation aerobatic team in the country. For nine years, he flew air show performances and formation demonstrations. He held flight lead, solo and formation surface air show credentials. Morris is originally from Austin, TX. He resided in Dahlonega, GA, for 20 years before moving to Saint Simons Island with his wife of 33 years, Kari Morris. In his off-time he enjoys boating and flying his personal aircraft, an RV8.
Marjorie M. Gruber – Corporate Officer
Marjorie is a familiar sight around the Gruber Hangar serving as a Corporate Officer, giving office and personal support to Renn while adding an important sense of family to the entire organization. It is no coincidence that Marjorie and Renn Gruber share the same last name. Marjorie is Renn’s mother and a highly capable business person in her own right having retired as a Senior Vice President & Chairman of the Building Committee from Fort Myers, Florida’s leading financial institution. Her spirit and charm are wonderful additions to the hangar Operation.
Stan Kyker – Bookkeeper
Stan joined the Gruber Aviation team as its part-time bookkeeper in January 2017. A graduate of UCLA, Stan retired after 30 years with the California Restaurant Association including 18 years as its Chief Staff Executive. He and his wife Cathy moved to St. Simons Island in 2002 from Long Beach, CA to retire, travel and play golf. He has three grown daughters and three granddaughters, all of whom enjoy visiting St. Simons.
Stan also works part time as Financial Administrator for Christ Church Frederica and provides consulting and accounting services for two other small associations in the community. He is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Simons Island and plays alto saxophone with the Golden Isles Community Band and the Jekyll Island Big Band.
