The Gruber Aviation flight team is among the finest professional pilots in the industry. Dedicated to the highest measures of safety and professionalism, all of the pilots are highly experienced aviators focused on making each flight a pleasurable and memorable experience for the members.

Ron Bilskie

Ron Bilskie – Chief Pilot
Ron joined St. Simons Executive LLC in 2007 as Chief Pilot with more than 30,000 hours of flight time as Pilot In Command. Originally from Indiana, his aviation career began in 1966 as a Flight Instructor at the Executive School of Aviation in Atlanta, Georgia while on active duty with the Army National Guard. After an honorable discharge with the National Guard in 1971, his commercial aviation career began with Piedmont Air Lines of Atlanta and extended over 30 years. Ron has flown a variety of jet and turbo-prop aircrafts throughout the years including Airbus, Boeing, King Air, Beechcraft and Cessna. He is type rated on the Airbus 320, 321 and 330 and qualified on the Boeing 737, 757 and 767.

 

Michael Pharis

Michael Pharis – Pilot
Native of Brunswick, Georgia Mike began his flying career in 1970 at the Brunswick Airpark. Upon obtaining his Commercial Pilot Certificate in 1972 he flew for Perry Flying Service and Brunswick Aviation until 1976, at which time he enlisted in the United States Army. After serving his country for 20 years as an Aviation Maintenance Supervisor and Flight Ops. Coordinator, Mike retired honorably in 1996 and returned to Brunswick. Prior to joining St. Simons Executive LLC, Mike was Chief Pilot for Viztec Imaging Inc. flying the JetProp 980 Commander. Along with the Turbo Commander, Mike is experienced in the Beechcraft King Air 90, 100, B100 and 300 as well as the Piper Cheyenne. He also has vast experience in the Beechcraft Baron and the Cessna 421 Golden Eagle. Mike has accumulated over 10,000 total hours of flight time of which over 8870 hours have been logged as Pilot in Command. He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Brunswick and enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.

 

Majorie Gruber

Marjorie M. Gruber – Corporate Officer
Marjorie is a familiar sight around the Gruber Hangar serving as a Corporate Officer, giving office and personal support to Renn while adding an important sense of family to the entire organization. It is no coincidence that Marjorie and Renn Gruber share the same last name. Marjorie is Renn’s mother and a highly capable business person in her own right having retired as a Senior Vice President & Chairman of the Building Committee from Fort Myers, Florida’s leading financial institution. Her spirit and charm are wonderful additions to the hangar Operation.

 

Majorie Gruber

Dana Smith – Administrative Assistant
Dana Smith is the newest associate with Gruber Aviation, Inc. She works as an independent consultant alongside both Renn and Marjorie- as support with Administrative functions as well as with the financial aspects of the aeronautical organization. Dana is a graduate of Brenau University with a Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting Degree. She has a son and a daughter and enjoys living on the Golden Isles.
